 Plot to Plate is a broadly themed event based around all things food related. This encompases growing food and cooking and eating it - what more can there be to life? The event , organised by Boroughbridge Allotment Society, will take place in locations around Boroughbridge Town Centre including Hall Square, the Fountain on St James Square and the Shared Space in Boroughbridge Car Park.

Both local community organisations and locally based traders have been approached to attend. To date the following have confirmed that they will be attending:

Aldborough and Borougbridge Show: A display of sheep and lambs, farm machinery. Entry forms and show schedules for the 2012 show will all be available in Hall Square.
Womens Institute: Practical demonstrations and produce for sale
Hardwicks Garden Centre: Gardening Advice and Products for sale from the local Garden Centre
Boroughbridge Allotment Society: Tombola, Plant stall and general information.
Artijan: Gardening themed knitted goodies.
Boroughbridge High School: Buskers at various locations around the town. The Silver band will be performing at the fountain in St James' Square.
Mrs Pumphrey`s: Chutneys, Cakes, Preserves
Wolds Cottage Kitchen: Cakes and other edibles
Willow weaving: Making a decorative fishing rod (with a fish attached).
Little Red Berry Company:Delicious fruit liqueurs,made by hand from locally sourced fruit
Farmhouse Direct: Fresh meat, pies, sausages and other products from rare breeds
Kala King Chocolates: Chocolates and patisserie prepared in an old fashioned way with a modern twist
Gillian`s Cupcakes: Locally made edible treats
Boroughbridge Community Care: A fund raising Treasure Hunt for a worthwhile local voluntary organisation.
Lions Club Voluntary organisation: Content of stall to be confirmed.
Seeds of Italy: Featuring a range of fantastic Italian vegetable seeds - "Franchi, Seeds of Italy" and a selection of garden sundries.
Brown and Blond: Artisan bakery producing brownies, blondies, sweet and savoury (vegetarian) tartlets & filos, cheesecakes, giant meringues, continental breads & celebration cakes.
Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream: Ice Cream contain lashings of fresh milk and double cream, produced by cows that graze the lush and natural Dales meadows, with natural ingredients such as real fruit flavourings, luxury chocolate pieces, and crunchy cinder toffee chunks.
Riggmoor Farm Petting Zoo: An opportunity to meet alpaca, miniature ponies, baby lambs, piglets, hens and chicks, ducklings, rabbits and guinea pigs (Note: the selection of animals may vary from this list)
National Vegetable Society: Ray Orme will be holding informal talks and answering your questions on the growing of vegetables on an allotment or in a home garden.
Locos in Motion: "Morris Dancers with Attitude!".This involves male and female dancers blacking up their faces to disguise themselves and dancing vigorously while forcefully clashing sticks of various lengths. Sounds like fun!
Tantalising Tastes: A stall with locally produced vegetarian pastries and tarts.
Etruscany: Fine foods from Tuscany
Yore Film Society: Promotional information regarding our local film society and its activities.
Boroughbridge Historical Society: An exhibition, staged in Boroughbridge Library, themed around local agricultural history.
Porter`s Preserves: Handmade products from Knaresborough made with love from home grown and locally sourced fresh produce
Country Bunting: An unusual mixture of home made bunting, vintage clothing and cake stands 
Granny Boyle:  a range of pretty herbs in baskets etc and the Lavender Kitchen range of homemade confectionary itemsitems ( lavender sugars, syrup, fudge and a selection of home made cookies/shortbreads etc as well as salt rubs....  )
Girlie Gardening: Girlie Gardening we’ve got the best selection available of garden gifts for women of all ages (and gardening inclinations). 
Hunters Bake-Off: Employees and clients of Hunters Estate agents are holding a baking competition.
Poplar Framing: A display of botanical water colour paintings by our local picture framers 
Bob the Coffee man:  Not just any coffee but a smooth, creamy, mellow blended Indian Mysore  and Honduras Arabicas which produces a satisfying flavour.
Robinson's Pies:  Speciality pies identified by the letter on the lid of the pie.  A wide and delicious range, famous throughout the country.
Kirby Hill Primary School : A fundraising stall for Kirby Hill PTA.
Boroughbridge Rangers : A stall offering recycled jewellery.
Boroughbridge Scouts : offering pancakes and a haybox
Birchfield Family Dairies : ice cream made from the milk and cream of their own jersey herd.
Yorkshire Countrywomen's Association : a fundraising cake stall
Boroughbridge Horticultural Society : raising awareness about the society and offering a fiendish quiz.
Angelika's Cakery : Locally produced cakes
Yorevision : Promoting Yorevision and its projects.
Allerton Castle Garden Bakery : High quality biscuits, traditional toffee, sweets and toffee apples.
Forever Living Products : Organically grown aloe vera based health and well being products. 

Boroughbridge Therapy Centre: Solve your gardening aches and pains with expert physiotherapy.
Scotton Lingerfield School : A fundraising stall for the PTA.
Voakes Pies : Voakes pork pies are produced from our own stock of pigs which are bred exclusively at Whixley Grange.

Scarecrow Festival



A Scarecrow  Festival will form part of the run up to the Plot to Plate event. The event will be split into categories for businesses and  members of the general public. It is hoped that the businesses will display their scarecrows on their premises on the run up to the 21st April and individuals and community groups will display their entries on the day. Space will be organised in the town for the scarecrows from individuals and community groups.

Judging of the Scarecrows will take place on the 21st and prizes will be awarded to the winners. The Scarecrow Trophy has been kindly donated by Boroughbridge Entertainment for All, in memory of Tricia Houseman
