Plot to Plate - Saturday 9th May 2015

is a broadly themed event based around all things food related. Encompassing growing food, cooking and eating it - what more can there be to life? The event, organised by Boroughbridge Allotment Society, will take place in locations around Boroughbridge Town Centre including Hall Square, the Fountain on St James Square and the Shared Space in Boroughbridge Car Park.

Explore the centre of Boroughbridge looking for characters from Jack and the Beanstalk. Start your trail from Baileys of Boroughbridge where you can pick up a form to record your finds and receive some magic beans to help you on your way. Find the 6 characters who will tell you their special bean and then head to the Plot to Plate hub to be rewarded with a goody bag and some magic to plant in  your garden.


KNARESBOROUGH SILVER BAND : award winning traditional brass band with a long history of providing entertaining music.

BOROUGHBRIDGE COMMUNITY CHOIR : singing a wide variety of  music on the Fountain.

LAURENCE MARSHALL'S ONE MAN BAND : traditional one man band singing music through from the 20s to present day

BOOGIE SHOES DANCERS : Students from Boroughbridge perform a medley of dance numbers

WYCHWOOD ACOUSTIC : A local folk duo entertain us with a variety of songs

LOCOS IN  MOTION : a welcome return to our most unusual Morris dancers, well worth watching.
