External Fund Raising

This group is led by Tim Tribe ably supported by Andy Geldart. Andy has created a detailed  "Business Plan" for the creation of the Aldborough Gate Allotment site which should highlight to the grant providers that our plans are well thought out and achievable. Tim and Andy have spent many hours on behalf of the Society members doing the thankless task of filling in, checking and rechecking the endless forms. The Society would also like to thank the members of other allotment societies and funding bodies who have provided us with help and guidance through the whole application process.

GRANT APPLICATION PROGRESS

We are most grateful to our funders who have been very generous and supportive. Funding has been obtained from a number of sources. 

Awards for All funded the project that allowed us to operate the site - water connection, the road crossing and landscaping.

Yore Vision funded our flower and shrub planting program.

Catalyst Fund provided the water infrastructure.  

North Yorkshire Aggregates Fund (Yorkshire Dales Millenium Trust) and North Yorkshire County Council are provided top-up funding to allow us to put in rabbit proof fencing and car parking.  

Because of the generosity of the grant bodies, we have been able to bring forward some of our plans.

We will be inviting our funders to the grand launch of the Allotment facility in May to say thank you, and to show them what a great facility they have helped to create.
